We came together in Basildon to stand with Ukraine , marking four years since the war began. Four years of pain, resilience, courage, and an unbreakable spirit. This was more than an event; it was a moment of collective remembrance and a powerful reminder that Ukraine is not alone.
The turnout was truly moving. The Ukrainian community in Basildon was out in force, joined by friends, allies, and supporters who came together with one clear message: 'we remember, we care, and we stand with Ukraine'
We are deeply thankful for the incredible support from so many organisations who stood shoulder to shoulder with us, including @trustlinkscharity , Basildon Twinning Association, Mother's Kitchen Cafe Pitsea and The Rotary Club of Basildon Concord .Your solidarity and compassion made this day possible.
We were also honoured to welcome our special guests, Mayor of Basildon Borough, Cllr Allan Davies, and Richard Holden. Your presence sent a strong message of support and recognition at a time that means so much to so many.
Thank you to everyone who attended, spoke, listened, and stood together in silence and in strength. Even four years on, our voices still matter. Our unity still matters. And Ukraine still matters.
