Friendship Group Highlights

This week at our Friendship Group, we were delighted to welcome two special guests who brought inspiring stories and opportunities to share!

Sarah from @family_action introduced us to the incredible work her charity does to support families through practical and emotional help. It was lovely to learn more about this long-standing organisation and how our community can get involved.

Tim Watts from @southendpiermuseum  shared fascinating insights into the history of Southend’s most iconic landmark, the longest pleasure pier in the world! He spoke about how the museum preserves our local heritage and welcomed interest from anyone who’d like to take part in their activities.

Both speakers talked about exciting volunteer opportunities within their organisations and warmly encouraged our members to connect with them.
