HELPFUL WORKSHOPS

From January through to March, we ran a series of informative and educational workshops. To offer the best service possible, we teamed up with other organisations in the area to really provide a professional’s point of view. For example, a lady from Southend Borough Council ran two workshops on how the education system works in the UK and how to choose the right school for your child, one for secondary schools and one for primary schools. The team from local charity, Lady McAdden, also visited us to teach our members about the importance of breast health, screening and what to do if you need to go to a hospital. Then Healthwatch gave a talk on how to access health and social care services in the area. We also ran a workshop on the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine, apprenticeships and how local group Homestart can support our families.
