More gratitude this Volunteer Week 💛Fatma and Janan – two incredible women who always give their time, care, and positive energy to everything they do.

Meet Fatma, as Jasmin says, “my wingman.” And it’s true. Fatma is the kind of person who makes everything feel a little more possible. 🌷

Since 2023, she’s been a shining light at Welcome to the UK. Not only does she help us organise meaningful community events, but she also volunteers at our Homework Club, supporting children from refugee and migrant families with patience, kindness, and care. 📚💙

Janan is another pillar of support in our team. She comes in every week, without fail – unless she’s asked not to 😄 She helps with events, supports our Friendship Group, and assists in the office with consistency, kindness, and a bright smile.

Despite facing a challenging immigration journey, Janan continues to show up with quiet resilience and a generous heart. As Jasmin beautifully said: “She’s consistent, helps with a smile, and is a real team player.” 💪
