A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIR OF TRUSTEES

Hi everyone, I am Aline Clayson, chair of Welcome to the UK. I am so pleased towrite to you all for the first time. Looking back, we have had a very successful start to

2023! We have celebrated many aspects of our charity, while continuing to support

the community.

We marked International Women’s Day in March and hosted our first fundraising event in May. In June, we celebrated refugee week.

We have also started a friendship group in Grays this year.

We continue to support Ukrainian refugees and their hosts. We also

continue to provide ESOL classes.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our volunteers for their hard work and dedication, it is so appreciated. You make our organisation what it is, and I am

excited to continue working with you all. Thank you!
