On the 9th of July, the Salvation Army in Southend held their annual concert in partnership with the Harmony Concert Band. During this event, they raised a fanstatic £1012.77 and donated this money to us. These funds enabled us to organise a 5-day ESOL workshop for Ukrainian teenagers, where we not only did English lessons but enjoyed some of Southend's best attractions and food. A special thanks Caddie's, Adventure Island, German Doner Kebab , Subway and Greggs for their generosity
The Salvation Army also entrusted us with donations which they were unable to take to Romania as part of their ShoeBox Appeal. We are honoured to have been given the opportunity to redistribute this items to local refugees in need. More info on this in our next newsletter.
