🌿 The final note of Refugee Week was both powerful and tender at our Ukrainian Culture Club in Southend.

Children sang a song that moved everyone in the room, where small hands rise to shield Ukraine from rockets.

Tiny voices, singing of courage, love, and protection, a message more powerful than any speech.

We also explored midsummer traditions through a beautiful hands-on workshop, crafting flower crowns and protective charms with seasonal herbs and blossoms.

It was a moment of quiet meaning, connecting with nature, culture, and each other.

Thank you to our Ukrainian community and to everyone at Welcome to the UK for making this gathering possible.

Sometimes, belonging begins with simply coming together. 💛💙

We also enjoyed a joyful celebration with our fundraising team and the Albanian Club, led by teacher Arjeta and the children, please see the pictures for a glimpse of the vibrant spirit of the day.
