Lunar New Year

Gong Xi Fa Cai! (Wishing you prosperity) is the popular lunar new year greeting for people of Chinese descent around the world.

Welcome to the UK took this opportunity to celebrate this occasion by having it as the theme for our Friendship Meal held last Thursday.

Everyone had a wonderful time getting to know what Chinese New Year is all about. This included savouring Chinese delicacies, appreciating the decorations relevant to the Lunar Year, Face Painting and a mini activity for the children.
